The refrigerator is quieter and only emits a slight hum.

The refrigerator has a total capacity of 295 litres, which includes the fridge compartment containing 209 litres, and the bottom-mounted freezer offering 89 litres storage space. It's not frost-free and will need occasional manual defrosting to maintain peak performance. The drawer for chilled drinks is a nice feature and there's plenty room in the drawer for fresh veg and fruit.

We tested the refrigerator for energy efficiency, and it scored an A+ rating. This is the lowest energy efficiency rating we have ever tested and is a great result for an appliance of this cost. It was also fairly quiet with a noise rating of 42 decibels. It's a bit more raucous than the cheaper models, but it is significantly quieter than older fridges we have tested that tended to make a lot of noise while running.

Swan has kept its design simple which is a benefit in terms of ease-of-use. The fridge features an LED bulb as well as an adjustable temperature control. The fridge also requires manual defrosting from time to time, but it's classified as A+ in energy efficiency. This makes it one of the most efficient fridge freezers on our Best Buy chart, keeping your electric bills to a minimum.

This is an excellent example of how Swan can provide stylish retro designs at very affordable costs. The SR11010 looks fantastic and is available in a wide spectrum of colours, from the subtle pastel blue we tested to more dramatic red, pink and orange. It also has the benefit of being frost-free and very quiet too. It's a great all-purpose appliance however, you must examine this appliance against other refrigerator freezers on our Best Buy list to ensure that you purchase the right appliance.
