The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to identify your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the push of a button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your area to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. We think this is a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the best robot mops for hardwood floors can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping robot vacuum cleaner settings that it has, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves along.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's items that need to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It can vacuum up even wet spills. 3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any best robot vacuum mop we've tested, because of its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does the job well. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots at this price. It can make precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they can push the L10s into the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel has a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
