It's a sleek stainless-steel geometric machine, that looks super stylish and is easy to use. You just pop a pod into the inlet, select either an express or lungo and press a button. The flashing light indicates whether the coffee is in the process of brewing or ready. There's no milk carafe or steam wand, however you can add cold or hot milk to your coffee however you like.

The beauty of this machine is that it's designed to work with Grind's own reusable, plastic-free and best home bean to cup coffee machine compostable coffee pods. This means that you're not only cutting down on your coffee waste (which can take hundreds of years to degrade) but the pods themselves are made of no plastic and are organic. They cost about 50p each, and you can chuck them in your food waste bin or garden compost once they're empty.

The Grind One is PS275, and you can add an additional milk frother for an additional PS325. It's more expensive than a lot of Nespresso-branded pods however it's a sleek well-designed, well-constructed, and versatile machine. It's also the most compact, so it won't take any counter space. You can program the size of your cup according to your mood and there's the option of the temperature to increase to push your brew to a higher temperature at the press of an button. You can also keep track with the maintenance schedule by receiving notifications when the capsule bin is empty or when the water tank requires to be filled up.

The machine isn't capable of frost, but you can make cappuccinos and flat whites with a separate milk container. There are many positive reviews from customers on Amazon and at John Lewis. They praise the quiet operation and flexibility of the machine, such as different lengths of brews as well as an adequate capacity for used capsules.
